May the force be with you?
When I was younger, my older brother and I were obsessed with Star Wars merchandise. Our biggest thrill involved purchasing an electronic lightsaber. We were so excited with the swords which actually made noise when you smashed them together. My hard earned twenty dollars felt well spent...until the swords' electronics shorted out. All that was left were two lifeless plastic blades, not even fit to pretend with. This story tells of how most electronic Star Wars lightsabers have a notorious history of breaking. When Christmas came I decided to buy my younger brother an electronic lightsaber which he could smash around for a few weeks. To my great surprise and joy, a full month passed and the saber still works just as healthily as it did on day one. As far as lightsabers go, I normally would say, "save your money!" However, in this case, you'd be purchasing a durable, very fun, reliable toy. My brother is happy with the flashing lights, vibrating handle and encouraging (cheesy) voice recordings (ex: "the force will be with you...always.). Outlining my feelings concerning the lightsaber I say that this sword offers much as far as fun goes. It's durable enough to give to a five year-old. However, the battery life is somewhat low (it gets depressing when the voice recordings are all mutated and slow). Try it out, it's fun!5 Stars for Fun [great sounds effects and motion sensing]
1 Star for Education [doesn't require many brain cells to use]
4 Stars for durability [-1 related to battery life]

VERY COOL, but it's only available in blue?
As the other reviewers have indicated, this is the one to have... either for play or for costumes... Force Feedback (no pun intended), motion sensitive, spot-on sound effects, chrome-finished hilt, and just plain cool. My 4-year old loves it, and I frequently 'borrow' it as well. However, it appears to only exist in blue... so, when my son wanted a green one, well, it was time to "concentrate on the moment" ...or, in this case, buy another one, take it apart, swap in the green 'blade' from another electronic light saber we already had, and presto... a green JTL. [Technically, I also made a lateral incision to the base segment of the new 'blade' (so I could curl the base segment a smidge tighter), drilled a pilot hole in the top of the hilt (thru the now-overlapping portions of the base segment), and added one short screw to secure the new 'blade' (as it was originally from a knock-off that had a slightly different diameter).] Overall, it was a simple modification, so red or purple may be next. Besides, aren't Jedi supposed to create their own sabers anyway :-)Now, my son and I each can have one, which is perfect for dueling... or, recreating Anakin's battle with Count Dooku in Episode II.The only reason I didn't rate the Durability at 5 stars was due to the heavy toll in AA batteries resulting from the serious usage of a young padawan learner... but, that's precisely the kind of thing that They make rechargeable alkalines for, isn't it....

this saber kicks butt
I have a total of 7 lightsabers, only 4 are electronic and this is one of them. This is the Jedi Training Saber, and I love it. While my other electronic ones are two "Electronic Jedi Lightsabers" and a "Darth Maul Electronic Lightsaber", I like this one the most because of not only it's electronics but also of it's realistic look and feel. You get "Force feedback" when you swing or jab hard, or when Qui-Gon or Yoda mention something about "feel the Force". Overall, this is the best and my #1 fav of all my sabers. It'd better though if the blade could retract all the way, but oh well...

"...A weapon for a more civilized day..."
After searching far and wide, I have finally found a lightsaber that would be perfect in any Star Wars fans collection. Unlike the regular electronic Anakin's lightsaber, this one has a shiny finish and there is more detail on the hilt. The grip is good because even one-handed its hard to slip or drop it. It also features the voices of a few Jedi masters including Qui-Gon's "You will be a Jedi, I promise" line. And the blade is made of a tougher plastic then the 20 dollar saber making it excellent all around.

Coolest Lightsaber Ever
This is definitely the best saber ever. If you like Star Wars, buy it. I can't put it down! It light's up, it vibrates, it makes a saber noise, IT HAS EVERYTHING! Even some jedi masters TEACH you how to improve your saber techniques. Every kid should have one of these. It has a cover to your switchces so it is an EXACT replica. Get it. Got it? GOOD!
